Building the Mojo SE

A typical build will take about 200 hours.

Do not assume that being mid engined the construction will be more complex than a conventional front engine rear drive sports car.  On the contrary, it is actually easier.

The engine and gearbox come as a complete unit with starter motor, alternator and fuel injection straight from the donor.  No expensive bell housings, starter motors, sumps, alternator brackets, or special prop shafts to worry about.  The Fiesta clutch is hydraulic, which in addition to being very light in use, is very easy to install using the donor master cylinder and pedal.  The Mojo uses the Fiesta rod gear linkage, which gives one of the best mid engine gear shifts around.

The rolling chassis can be assembled to the point when, if desired, the engine can be run. The GRP body can then be placed over the chassis and the remainder of the build completed. Some customers choose to take delivery of the body once the rolling chassis is complete.

Expect an all in build cost to be around £8000, it is very easy to spend a lot more than this but the thrifty could reduce the costs by as much as £1000.
